As Mind boggling as ever. Onto Chapter three, and I still don't know WTF is going on.

This is an AWESOME book. Kicking myself for having NOT read this earlier.

Venturing into old Bernard Cornwell territories with this, i have heard the Sharpe series described as one of the best historical fiction done right, detailing the Napoleanic wars and the East India company. An extremely interesting start - set against the backdrop of the wars against Tipu Sultan, the Tiger of Mysore. Fabulous details abt the times, the brutality and the inevitability of war in such times.
