I'm not enjoying this. I thought I had read it years ago, but I can't remember any of it. It's way too 'sexy' in a boring, voyeuristic way that was probably 'hot' & cutting edge in '65. The writing is pedestrian & the plotting is deux machina. the only thing I'm enjoying is remembering Cairo, which sounds pretty much how I remember it 30+ yrs ago. i guess I'm more of a 'Smiley's People' kind of reader. Shelving this.

Currently reading titles : All the others are e-books.
This one is paperback, kosher for Shabbat and holidays.

experiment with audio books. I have tried and failed to read this several times. Having it read to me seems to be working better this time around.
