I so hope Lysander dies a painful, slow death. His twisted idiotic sense of honor and “how things need to be done” makes me want to vomit about 35 times in each of his chapters... Also he’s retarded...

Way too fucking many point of views... Diego, Helen, Emma, Kit, Christina, ... and about 3 more... it's just too damn irritating... - 10 pages this, scene change - 10 pages here... just no...

There is much potential and I was intrigued by the topic, but it's just boring like hell and characters are flat and story is tooo shallow...

Also the dialougues are totally superficial... they are playing hide and seek and she catches somebody and starts a speech about "yeah you don't know everything about me, like when I was younger....blablablabla".

Weirdly glad t's almost over... sadly disappointed for several reasons, although it is most definitely a good book

Wtf, Mustang! Totally out of character, family is usually important to her and she is a genius... I hope that move makes some sense later... as for now, I'm not her fan any longer :O

4 equally split POVs is just too much in my opinion, focus should still have been on Darrow, and maybe 1 chapter for everybody else, or just 2 main POVs and 2 secondary ones.

Everytime it gets interesting you're switching to another person - soo tempted to just skip it all...

Decent enough book so far, all the bad reviews definitely come from people who are way too much in love with the Harry Potter series.

Many movies/books use Harry Potter references these days because it was the first thing of its kind. There is nothing bad about that, just funny sidenotes. If you're offended by that, then read something else.

This seems to be really good, if you blend out all the talk about breath (I like the system, but it sounds weird nonetheless). And the "true King", what kind of father does that? Sending an innocent "child" away for "that"? Please tell me he gets punished eventually. There were 2 alternatives who were trained and mentally prepared for that crap (doesn't make it right, but less cruel if you have no choice).

What the fuck? Can't wait for Lila to come back to Kell, she'll never allow him to play the Royal Lapdog... I mean seriously? The King is born with his power, nothing he earned or something and so is Kell, but compared to this judging son of a... Kell's power is actually real. I'd like to see his face if Kell would tell him just to fuck off - what would he do besides "look displeased"?

I just love Lila, she'd probably kill me and steal all my stuff, but who cares? :D

Read this like 10 years ago, but since I've never actually wrote a review and it is one of my most favourite books one of which made reading interesting again for me. I thought rereading it might be a good idea (glad you can't see my actual book - the pages are like orange not yellow) lol. Everybody quit smoking, it's bad for you and your books :O

Flawed logic, and major hypocrisy

They are at war, monsters have human soldiers to kill and capture people - so the rebels are just standing there letting the bad humans kill them? Because they have to kill some human maniacs eventually - so if Sunai only see black and white - people who kill are already dead by their terms without exceptions - they need to reap their own soldiers eventually by that logic...

I love this book - so glad i picked it up. I literally forgot that i had coffee on the table until my back hurt and i looked up only to find it untouched and cold...

100 more pages... and glad about it, which is indeed a rare thing for me to say

I love the story, but I'm too confused for whom to root for - way too many perspectives for my taste. And you just "know" that many will die somehow, which makes me really cautious...

Just too many for me, And I don't like Magnus and Jonas, they are... weird - like the absolute male cliché.
