The discourse on memory, joy, and truth is profound. I underlined and made notes on every page.

Now that the autobiography is over and the theological wrangling is beginning in earnest, it’s not as quick a read. But still good.

Finished the autobiographical section. Now for the theology.

One or two of these in the morning is a pleasant start to the day.

Beginning a lightweight Bible study, something fun.

Just some light reading, thought I would liven up my Bible study time with a survey of the apocalypse.

Just finished the full account of his conversion moment. It is beautiful and very relatable. In fact, it stands out as unique and blisteringly modern in the entire world of ancient literature, for its psychological honesty and recollection of little moments and physical gestures.

Read this book back in elementary school but remember very little beyond a vague thrill of mysticism. Excited to revisit it.
