His thoughts on the reinstatement of Peter, on Mar 1-3, hit powerfully. May I too continue to discover how much I love Jesus, and show it by loving service to all God’s sheep.

Classic start to a classic story. Love seeing all the tropes and familiar imagery show up in their original contexts.

Chambers has some passionate advice which is helpful for sanctification and the pursuit of God. However, I’ve found some bits I either disagree with or he has not communicated clearly. On the whole, though, I am liking it and finding it challenging to my heart in a good way.

Progressing through the McCheyne plan.

I’m still not in love with Peterson’s style of whimsy nor with his narrating style and character voices. And I think his use of footnotes is sometimes clumsy and distracting. But I’m enjoying the adventure and all the things that appeal to the imagination of a wistful nine year-old (which I’ve largely maintained in myself). On the whole, it’s good listening.

My reading plan takes me to four different books of the Bible every day, so my page number updates only reflect my progress starting in Genesis, not the rest of the progress that I am making.
