Superman pushing himself to the brink to defeat a xenophobic, hardline fascist godhead, only to then throw him at the mercy of the people he has subjugated their entire lives and watch in horror as they help him back to his feet and into his ruined palace.

I love that King came up with one alien planet name and then decided he had nailed it so hard, he never needed to come up with another one.

Han and Chewie are tooling around with an unexploded missile stuck in the back of the Falcon. This book rules.

“Luke smiled so brightly Han felt as if he could be warmed by its glow.” Expanse guys really nailing 70s Hamill and Harrison. And so early in their own writing career too! You love to see it.

Superman: The Animated Series is great because one episode will be Clark and Lois having a crappy day at work and then the next, a corrupt cop will realize Superman’s secret identity right before he’s put to death in the gas chamber.

Peak television.

Wells writes one helluva Big Three. (Her Threepio and Chewie are very funny too)

Taking a slight detour into A Galaxy Far, Far Away…before I take my third and final trip into Area X. But really this is just a trial run for Murderbot March as I’ve never read a Martha Wells before! AND she’s a fellow Texan! Books, I sure love ‘em (and a scrappy, crazy shippy Star War)
