I read this when it first came out in paperback, a couple years ago. Looking forward to re-reading it, and then starting the sequel, The Magician King.

likes:
- plot is very interesting, and very addicting
- pace is quick but still descriptive enough (mostly)
- characters are relatable (see below)
- Aussies!

not liking:
- random changes in perspective
- hard to really get a feel for the characters, they're not around long enough (both in the story itself, and the chapters feel short and choppy sometimes)

so far, i'm really enjoying this book tho :)
