5/24/17:
I have a good character trait for my main character Emma Edmond's, which is fearful. She is fearful about getting caught and getting in a lot of trouble. She took a big risk and went into war, under disguise... I am predicting that she will get cought towards the end of the book.

I found a symbol accuring in my book, and this symbol has to relate towards the only girl in this book, Teresa. I almost think of her as like a change for Thomas, because ever since shes came, its been different for him, but in a good way. There is a strong connection between them both, which made me represent Teresa as a symbol.

5/4/17:
Thomas is a very brave boy for going through the woods where gladers are. A glader eventually came out at him and beat him up, and bit him constantly. As he looked closer, he found out that the guy who was biting him, was ben. This makes me wonder, how ben changed and became creepy, and weird.

To me, its interesting how everyone that's arrived in this place, has lost there memory, of there old life. Im curious as to how that happened. Thomas can barely remember anything except for his name. Its almost like everything has just washed away. Im hoping to find out soon in the book why this is happening.

4/20/17: America is STILL struggling on who she loves more, whether its prince Maxon, or Aspen, she finds something different about both of them, which is why this is so hard for her. As I keep reading further, more girls are getting sent home, which means the remanding are determined to win Maxon's love for them. I'm curious to see where America goes with all of this and how long she'll stay.

4/6/17: So far, I am already attached to this book, and I am not that far. Something I have noticed when I was reading is, America is still trying to decide who she really loves. Prince Maxon and Aspen, both want her, while she cant decide who she can see herself with. Whether its prince Maxon where she can live her fairytale life with, or Aspen, who was her first love??

I have finished the book, and honestly it was amazing! At the end, I was so surprised when Aspen decided to try and fight for America's love back after she already rejected him. The book ended with America finally realizing that she is exactly where she ought to be(the elite)! I want to read the next one up, to hear what happens to Americas decisions next!

I am almost finished with the book! Im getting closer, and I am starting to predict what will happen at the end, since I am close to finishing the book! For example, In the beginning I didn't think america would make it so far, to getting to "love" prince Maxon. I have a feeling that they are going to end up with eachother at the end, based on whats been happening lately in the book

America is drifting away from her love Aspen, and is falling in love with prince Maxon. Americas character trait changed at this point of the book, now that she realized that she has a stronger love for prince maxon. I am predicting that she will be the "selection," and she will be the final one at the end of the book. But will she raise in levels, to get to the top??

3/8/17: Its weird because from the beginning of the book, the opposite happened of what America expected. I wasn't 100% that America would have a feeling for prince Maxon. I'm saying this because of her strong love for Aspen. So this is kinda a turning point in the book, where the opposite of what I thought and even of what America thought, is happening, in fact it might be better than what she expected.

So far, I am on page 17, and the main characters name is America. And a good character trait for her is almost different from everyone else, and wants something different, because everyone wants this crown that they dream of, but america never wanted it or wants, it knowing she has a secret love for Aspen. She ends up going in, s what I wonder is how far shell go, in the selection process.

2/27/17: I have finally finished this book! It was soo good! A good theme that I thought fit this book is, "power can corrupt." I thought this theme was good for my book because, when her info got out, her life pretty much changed for a little. Which means that the info spread pretty quickly, which wasn't good for her. Therefore, I thought this theme fit my book pretty well. I'm going to give this book a 4.5 out of 5

I have finally finished the book! I wanted to end off this book, with a theme that I have learned through this book. A Theme that I found fit this book was, "power can corrupt." I say this because, right when some of her info got out there, her life basically changed for a couple weeks, just from others seeing her private inf about herself. Therefore, I thought this was a good theme for my book.

2/23/27: I'm more than half way through this book, and a lot has happened with my main character. I say this because, pretty much the worst thing had happened to her, that no one would like. And that is that some of her personal info, got out to the "world." In my book, the setting, has been sad due to what she has been dealing with. I hope that there is a turn around soon, for her, so some suspense can get out!

2/14/17: My main character Jamie, always has a lot going on in her mind. She thinks about everything. For example, on page 37, it quotes "I cant talk about the stuff that's really on my mind: how mom is so annoying, how in worried about the probability of Jamie moss asking me to prom, hoe bad I feel for BethAnn Jackson, because she was pressured into saying yes to going to prom with Gary Harvey."

2/8/17: So far, in this book, i love it! Its about this girl who's character trait is a normal girl in high school who doesn't have any problems. Through the clues in this book, it looks like something really bad is going to happen to her, and the mood/character of her is going to change. I can tell that this book is going to go downhill really fast!

2/3/17:I completely finished this book, and it was a joy to read. Although, it might have been slow and a little boring at some parts, I enjoyed it for the most part. On page 195, it quotes "but in the end never said a word about the man or what he knew, the secret. This book carried "the secret" throughout it all, which led me to questions about it and I wanted to finish the book to see if the secret spilled.

1/30/17: There is one page left until I will be done with this book! With these last few pages, I have noticed that Brian's character trait, has a very brave side to him. This whole book was based on a survival moment, and now that the book has come to an end, it has closed up his long survival, with many questions and interviews, which to me will make him remember this long scary adventure he had to do on his own.

I found a theme for the book, which was pay close attention to the important ones in your life, because you only live once. I found this a perfect theme for my book, because josh and jbs dad tought them everything when it came to basketball, and now they love o play it. although at the end, the dad dies, which came out of know where in the book. This is what showed me a perfect theme for the book.

I have been noticing some things with JB and Josh, and that is, that Josh is almost jealous of JB, because he gets all of the girls, and Josh doesnt. Also, JB always wins the bets that they make, and I feel like over powers his twin Josh. "Because you are walking home by yourself, and your brother owns the world. (P. 115.)

12/5/16:A lot has happened and i'm not even half way through! For example, a lot has happened in Auggie's life. Like getting bullied because of his dysfunctional face. I think of Julian and his gang as a symbol of fear, knowing that they bully Auggie and do things to him that they shouldn't do. Some people support him while others don't. The people who are against him I think are just a symbol of fear to Auggies life

11/28/16: I have finished the book! Since we were on break, for 5 days, we have to finish the rest of the book from page 124-380 and we didn't have to log over break, so i barley have much for this book on here. I found a perfect theme for this book, and that was, the little things in life that you care about can bring you joy. Willows, was the number 7. That number was almost like a hobbie for her.

11/21/16:This is my book club book, and I love it! the main character is Willow chance, and a character trait I noticed about her is she is very smart and is a genius. I know this because, In the text, it says she got a 100% on this big test when no one else did in the whole school, so the teacher didn't believe and they made her go to dell duke. I find it funny how willow didn't stick up for herself.

11/16/16I absolutley loved this book!! I just finished it and it tought me so much. Throughout this year I have been getting into historical fiction war books, and I have noticed throughout all of them, they are a little on the darker, sadder side, for there emotions. But they end really well, with still something sad that never got fixed, like between shades of gray did that, and a night divided did too!

11/13/16: I'm getting closer to the end of the book, and I am still watching for my inferring as I am reading through the pages. I have inferred about how my characters have shown hard work through the text. For example, it mentions in the book how Gereta, and others have just finished a normal day at work, as they finished covered in dirt, and the hunger of food. They jumped into the pond to bathe there selves off.

11/10/16: I'm already almost done with this book, because i cant seem to put it down. Today's teaching point was to infer about our books, so I did. I inferred about the main point in this whole book. And that was, how the family was separated, by a fence. I could infer just by looking, that the emotions are sad, and the setting isn't very happy. Also, how there family is in need of help to get back together again.
