The story is pretty good, and I'm getting to like the characters, but there's at least one grammatical error in every chapter. Usually little things, but it's so annoying and shows a lack of professionalism. Where was the copy editor?

Pretty good so far, but the occasional grammatical errors are bugging me.

I'm already crying! This is so good and sweet and tragic and beautiful.

I'm reading this book with a map of New Zealand, and Google and Wikipedia on standby. So many fascinating places to learn about as the characters visit them! Right down to the exact streets, museums, national parks, and mountains that they see! I love it!

Twice now the author has ridiculed "old maids", saying how they try to fill up their empty lives, but fail and die "weary and disappointed, despised and of no account, like all single women." OMG!!! What the hell is this?!?!?!? ARGH!!!! So angry with this crap.

Getting real sick of this main character lording it over the women characters. He just loves manipulating and being the master of everybody.

Main character William is really manipulative. He holds back a student's paper, just to see their disappointed reaction when their paper isn't graded, and they think they have failed his class. What a jerk! He says that he wants a chance to study their personality, but people are not there to be studied and analyzed! People are there to be loved and cared for, to be shown compassion and understanding.

These people are making me frustrated. William analyzes the character and personality of everyone he comes into contact with, and he rips these people to shreds! Criticizing and never seeing anything good in anyone around him. Even if they have one good quality, he has to mention again and again how ugly they are or physically weak. What a nice guy! :(

I came into this knowing that it would be an unhappy villainous ending, but now... argh! I already love these characters so much! I can't stand the thought of an unhappy ending. I can't! I don't want to read anymore sweet and witty dialogue and wondrously delicious setting, because I know my heart will break into pieces. I can't handle this kind of emotional turmoil right now!

Only on page 17, and I'm already hooked!
