Gripping story, chilling writing, creepy and thrilling and wonderful. Loving it so far!

I am flying through reading this book, but not going quite so quickly with actually tidying my house. Getting there though. Little by little!

I'm having trouble reading this. An 11yr old boy is molested in a Roman bath-house, and then kills his drunken attacker. An innocent Hebrew merchant and his teenage daughter are unjustly thrown into prison, where the father dies, and the girl is sold into slavery as a concubine. She is horribly abused by her owner/husband, and her newborn twin sons are taken to Druids to be sacrificed.
This whole book is horrid!

Only page 27, I've already met too many characters to keep track of. Who the hay are they all? And 90% of them are related, so it's a ton of uncles and brothers and sons that I can't keep track of.
