There are no fewer than 36 characters in this book! Urgh. I haven't even met all of them yet, but I made myself a list with short descriptions taken from Wiki to keep them all straight. However, whilst getting my list from Wiki, I got spoiled on a couple of plot points reading through the character descriptions. AGH! It's really unfair to put in a character's description that they die halfway through the book!

Reading through the book of Jeremiah now, and it's quite gloomy.

I'm going to try reading this massive book in 25 days! That means about 30 pages per day. Day ONE is a success!

Only on page 14, and it's already so deliciously dramatic with disaster around every turn! haha! I love it.

One of the characters is named Mr. Groot. Seriously? Are we stealing names from Guardians of the Galaxy now? Urgh.

"She heard a soft reassuring snoring sound. Good! Her aunt was asleep." No duh. Thank you, Captain Obvious, for that astute judgement. I'm so glad you explained that to me.
"She crept down the stairs and passed Bessie's room, and here the snoring was much louder. Bessie was definitely sound asleep."
Amazing powers of deduction! Snoring=Asleep! Wow! What good writing.

This book makes me so hungry! Archer is always eating massive amounts of food. Delicious meals and cookies and bread rolls. *hungry*
