Ahh the old fat guy choking down a greasy burger complaining about the "worst heartburn ever" + he's piloting your seaplane = DISASTER coming right up!!

Had to pick up an old fashioned real ink and paper book because we had no power this weekend due to bad storms and I pulled this one off my shelf.

I am steeling myself for a Melissa Delport type of twist here...I sense I am about to have my heart handed to me

Really - you expect me to read this and NOT have a lump in my throat?

If something was going to leave him, better that he watch it fly away whole rather than let it die in his company.

She already knew the most important things about him. He was kind, talented, and generous. She had stumbled onto the treasure and now worried over how to draw the map.

That's just beyooootiful!!

Perhaps it's because I've read the blurb and know what this book has the potential to be, but I'm at 10% and fighting back tears already...and nothing has really even happened. Either it's great writing, anticipation, or I'm especially emotional...or maybe all 3. Too soon to tell!!

And now I'm just sad...this has 6% to give me sunshine and rainbows, or not only am I breaking up with this book, but I am divorcing it and getting a restraining order against it!

Still spoiler free, but I am so nervous. Gabriel cannot be this good. Not sure what the big shocker is going to be, but I am picking every detail apart. I am loving the story so far!

I know this is a jaw dropping, WTF just happened book just from the scuttlebutt I've read...so I am reading this entire thing waiting for the other shoe to drop...and it's making my tummy all pretzel-y. And those of you who know what a spoiler whore I am, should be very proud of me as I've vowed to try not to hunt for spoilers. I do not know if I will succeed!!!

I am never going to survive reading this book out here all on my own!! I already need someone to swoon over Gabriel with. Anyone out there who hasn't read it and wants to read too?

I don't think rock star romances are for me. And this storyline seems forced.

I just feel smarter reading this book - it's a true epic saga. I am loving it immensely!

My heart breaks for poor Cyril Avery - he got a shit hand in the adoptive parents he was dealt, and now he's being criminalized for his sexuality. I know this crap goes on and it's a daily struggle (moreso in 1960's era Ireland), but this hurts deeply. Intolerance for others is simply fear and ignorance. Gawd, sometimes humanity really sucks!
