After weeks of trouble getting into a book, I can't put this one down.

Keep telling myself I'll write an actual review, but then I end up waiting until it's late and I'm tired. I feel derelict in my duties.

Been sick, and it's been hell on my reading schedule. Haven't read like I like to in almost a week. Bah.

Forgetting my book at work once is bad luck. Doing it twice is my subconscious telling me maybe I'm done caring about what happens to the kids stuck with the enhanced tapeworms.

So glad I finally took this down from my TBR shelf.

Is it a cartel thriller? Is it a nature documentary? Am I enjoying it?

Hopefully I'll be able to answer these questions by the time I finish the book.

Victorian-era prose is not a quick read.

Ok, I've had four hundred pages of comforting familiarity. Now I'm ready for this to wrap up so I can move on to something different.

Familiar, but fun. Reminds me of the Castle Rock stories.

Setting this aside. Despite finding it interesting, I just wasn't connecting with it. Then I forgot it at work over the holiday weekend, and that's all I needed to switch to something else.

Why does it take me so much longer to read ebooks?
