Sorry for my absence, I've been dealing with a lot of emotions. Hope to catch up on my reading and NaNoWriMo project this weekend...

That feeling when an author kills off a character, and you totally don't see it coming. :(

Tomorrow I will turn 21. Just in time to (legally) drink away the sorrows of this election.

This is my first Grisham novel. Enjoying it a lot so far.

How is NaNoWriMo going for everyone? I'm currently a little over 7,000 words into my story. Just chugging along. What I am working on is certainly borne from a little pleasure, lots of pain. Typically, when I write, I am drawing from a well of intense depression — stories are what keeps my head above water.

Why am I posting this on Goodreads? Fuck if I know.

Wanted to read this one before Donald Trump bans it in America.

'Revelations' contains everything I look for in a Clive Barker short story: horror, humor, and lots of imagination.

Holy shit, 'The Body Politic' terrified me. It takes a truly great horror writer to scare me in the daytime.

So far, this book is idyllic and a little creepy. Very well written. I needed this one. :)

This book is spinning its wheels. I am giving it thirty more pages to get good, or else I'm putting it down.

I want to read another Peter Straub novel before this year is over. I've completed everything up to and including The Talisman (excluding Marriages and Under Venus, which I really don't count). Make some suggestions!
