There is something painfully tender with most Rhage's scenes in this book. They cause instantaneous tear reaction! Rhage and Mary, tears. Rhage and the Brotherhood,tears. Rhage eating alone, tears. Rhage and L.W., rivers of tears!!! (This 'd better have a HEA or I will lose it!)

I don't care if this book is awarded, I don't care if its author is internationally hailed as one of the greatest... Why the need to include a detailed intercourse scene between a minor and an adult, even if it's for "purification purposes" plot-wise? Major no-no! You want to do it? Spare us the details! She is not of age!!!

Well...the thing with the new generation of heroes is that they act too much like teenagers. I don't remember thinking this for Qhuinn and Blay and John back in the day... Not necessarily bad but it messes with book perfection.

These younglings are AWESOME! Haven't thought I'd be hooked on the new generation of this spin-off so early... Never doubt the Warden pen! (Or keyboard!).

For the newbie reader of the genre: proceed with caution if chosen! For the experienced HR reader: you don't need such a tedious and commonplace book. For myself as a reader: you do NOT dnf - read on, rein in your sarcasm -you can do it!
