Well that didn't go so well.

Is it wrong that every time I read the missing girls name Polly Kettle, that I think of, and start singing in my head, the children's nursery rhyme "Polly Put The Kettle On"?

Despite nitpicking, I enjoyed the story.

How on earth did the snakes possibly know what was about to happen? Are these 2 thousand year old snakes who saw the trap being built? Do not get me started on how they can even possibly alive and thriving in the trap.

How on earth did he not see that one coming?

I'm not convinced that the trap systems in these ancient temples are still operational, and seemingly unlimited.

Of course the only expert they can find is actually a psychopathic terrorist that is locked away in Guantanamo. So naturally they need to break him out, rather then find someone else.

While this book isn't awful it's not making me love it. It seems to be missing the humour and action of the other books. I'm not sure what is different but I'm just not liking it as much as his other books so far.

Great for my son to read, but boring for me.

Sometimes the King of Thieves is pretty creepy. Not in the spooky way either.

I am enjoying the story but getting really annoyed with the constant comments about her being plain. Yes we get it, she is really plain despite having amazing green eyes, which apparently isn't very interesting at all.

Seriously stop with the plain appearance comments. It's really starting to bug me now.

The constant references to her being "plain" is getting irritating.

That was a fun book. Can't wait for the next one.

I'm no expert but if it was my job to care for, and educate the future Queen, who was probably going to be assassinated the minute she is on the throne. Then I would make sure she is trained up as freaking ninja, bezerker, ultimate warrior.
