"Well put-together and in her prime". I think this is a description of the main character, but it could also be describing her lunch as the sentence proceeds to talk about where she is sitting & her sand-which. I'm not a fan of this description.

Sam is a bit of a whinger.

So far the author has dealt with refugees and working parents. Pretty modern issues which translated well into this fantasy story.

She has a bit of a death wish.

This goddess is having some serious identity issues.

Name brand to continue to have worshippers is not such a bad idea. All future Deities take note. Hermes is the smart God I think.
