The chapter where Tuon sees Mat for who he is is mind blowing. So is the chapter where Egwene is doing her thing in the Tower.

So much cool stuff happening in this book. Nyanave and Lan in particular had one of the best scenes in the entire series (chapter 20).

Lot of interesting stuff is happening really consistently so far!

While I’m most interested in reading Egwene’s point of view chapters this time around (surprising how I never really liked her character for a long time but that seems to have changed), there’s a lot of interesting stuff happening even within the specific viewpoint chapters I wasn’t very interested in, when I started them.

Fast paced, preachy at times. Note that I don’t mind the author taking a stance here; I just feel that the reasoning given for the motivations given to the main character is somewhat weak - especially given that he’s supposed to be a genius. I find it somewhat ridiculous that there are only two paths explored here - not a third path that is mix of the other two.

Ok, there’s some really convenient problem solving (finding secret messages kind of crap). Eg let’s assume A was done - why you think so, you might ask? Not explained. Let’s then assume B was done and so on. Layers upon layers of assumptions but with an answer at the end. It all seems brilliant but there’s too many leaps of non sequitur logic here. This is the difficulty with writing genius characters.

Suddenly it’s gotten interesting - around the part of conflict between rebel Aes Sedai and the
White Tower

This is definitely a difficult entry to read (not as bad as the last time I read it though).
