30hour audiobook - bracing myself for such a challenge!

So far so good. While she certainly used the shock element to draw the reader in in chapter 1 (and didn't I fall for it?!) Her analysis is much more nuanced now!

Finally back at it. Knausi and Linda <3 as with his first book i'm torn between loving his narrative and being tempted to skip over the pages which highlight his world view- not because I am not interested but because of the convoluted way he presents it to the reader (I found one sentence over one page long!!). I think this might be my last knausi. Sarah and knausi = no <3

Holy $&@#. Glad I didn't read chapter 1 before I went to Alice. First I would have been scared like hell, second I would have gone in with prejudice, this way I could be open minded and let the impressions rush at me. See how the rest of the book goes...

Part 3: description of the 9th very difficult to understand, or maybe I am just too tired.. Loved part 2 about the historical context though, especially when he looked at other artists from the romantic period.

His first book certainly wasn't funny but this one is! The honest descriptions of what it is like with 3 young kids, how their little minds see the world is hilarious, "my daddy is in prison"

A sweet, magical book about loss. It sits with you, lingers with you as you go about your day. A story that is to be slowly savoured like chocolate slowly melting on your tongue filling your mouth with its sweetness.
