Simone > Recent Status Updates

The story keeps switching between past & present tense, which I find very interesting. I'm currently reading about "then", when Anna is settling into her job as an Au Pair in the Hamptons. All I've know about "now" is that she has been arrested for manslaughter (which she insists that she committed), but her story isn't adding up. I'm excited to see where this book goes, it's very intriguing.

I liked the happy ending. Simon and Bram have finally found each other, and are a public couple now. I would like to see their relationship develop more, but the book just ended abruptly. :/

I like the book a lot so far. The writing style is nice, and the plot is very intriguing so far. I'm excited to read it!

Abby knows about the blackmail now, and she's being kind of rude about it. I didn't really enjoy her vibe. Leah is still a brat. I really hate her. So much. The book is kind of at a slow moment right now, but I'm almost done so I'm sure something fun will happen soon.

Nick & Abby are taking Simon to a gay bar, which is pretty fun. SImon finally realized that Cal isn't Blue, but now he thinks that Martin might be Blue. I really hate that. Also, apparently Simon wears glasses, which the author has never mentioned before. Feeling: kinda confused XD

Simon went back to school for the first time since being outed. It started out fine until rehearsal, where some jerks decided to show up with signs that said some very not school appropriate things. People suck. I've never hated someone as much as I hate Martin Addison. >:-(

Simon was outed to the school on the Tumblr. I really hate Martin. He was never funny, and then he just had to go and do this. Martin is total scum! The worst thing you can do to someone, other than maybe murder, is to out them. I'm pretty frustrated right now to say the least.

It's Christmas Eve in the book, and Simon's friends Nick & Leah just met up with him briefly. He hasn't hung out with them in quite a while, and the vibes were totally off. To me, it seems like they have something VERY important they're keeping from Simon. They were acting very sketchy and I am excited to find out what it is about.

Simon just came out to his friend Abby. At the same time, Blue came out to his mom. I feel like we're getting close to the two meeting, and I'm pretty excited for it.

The book is getting to a very interesting point in the story. Simone and Blue are starting to give more personal details out in their emails, and I think Simon is starting to look at the actual 'Blue' more. He hasn't specifically said that he suspects him, but I feel as if he subconsciously knows.

I don't think that Cal is Blue. There's a bit of a vibe I'm getting from him that's not Blue, and it seems like it would be too easy/perfect for him to be. I also know because I saw the movie, but the vibes in the book are just wrong.

I like Simon so far, he's pretty funny. I also really like the author's writing style.

I chose this book because I really enjoyed the movie, and so far the book has exceeded my expectations.

I chose this book because it's about a girl who is battling depression and her recovery from a bad place in her life. I am able relate to this since I struggle with depression and find it interesting to read about other peoples battles with the illness.
