This chapter was all about siblings which isn’t applicable to my parenting journey but reading it helped me realize some things about my own relationship with my sisters and our parents.

So much heartbreak in just one chapter! It is interesting to get a peek into Desirée’s life as a child. I’m intrigued by her forbidden love interest from the past.

I am enjoying the author’s casual and informal writing style. I feel like she’s talking directly to me but still offering tons of insight. Each chapter has a series of reflections to journal. It has helped me ask the right questions to be honest with myself about my parenting style. Why am I doing the things I’m doing? I am realizing that parenting has changed me at my core.

One chapter into this book and I’m already intrigued by the way Bennett effortlessly weaves time and space. I’m looking forward to seeing where this first twist carries the story.

I can already tell I’m going to love this book! The author acknowledges that parenting is not one-size fits all. I’m looking forward to seeing what tips she has for making more meaningful parenting connections. It is neat that she calls out all the things she’s NOT going to do in the Intro.
