I remember seeing Omar Musa at the Perth Writers Festival where he “performed” part of this book. It was raw and powerful. While I can still hear that voice when reading it’s not the same. This book almost NEEDS that performance.

I have so many regrets about not reading this sooner. My goodness.

Holy crap, this book just drops you right into it! No gentle introduction just Ready? No? Too bad. ACTION!

Bit slower getting into this one. Enjoying it, just more of a slow burn.

I had to stop myself in the train this morning from reading any further. I have an hour commute home this evening and I need something to read. But its just gotten super tense and I'm sitting here at work and all I can do is stare at the cover. DYING to know how this ends....

Gosh these books are so easy to breeze through. I wonder if I’ve guessed the murderer right?!

Very very very very slowly getting through this. I can't bring myself to abandon it.

On to the 2nd book: The Tombs of Atuan
