I've been in a massive reading slump recently. Just so tired, that everything feels like effort. But I'm getting into this one. Hopefully it breaks the slump and helps me reach my target for end of the year!

Distracted reading (listening) to other things, but enjoying this a lot. The humor is subtle and I'm enjoying the letters.

As good as I remember it.

This is actually pretty helpful. Sure, some of it I know and some of it is not my style, but there are some definite pointers in here that I am starting to apply.

Already getting some really good tips from this. Don't know how much extra reading I'll do around this, (given I had to dump the Forster reading due to it being insufferable) but I'll give it as much of a go as I can.

I've decided to try and read the recommended reading as I go through this course, treating it much like a university course. Doing the exercises etc. The recommended reading for the first lecture was "Aspects of the Novel" from E.M. Forster. I have already noted my opinion on this reading/audiobook already.

I can't say I like E.M. Forster as a writer in general, so this isn't my fave thing to listen to about the writing craft. I don't agree with him about a lot of aspects, however that can also be a good learning tool, so we will preserver.

I am struggling to get into this and it has nothing to do with the excellent writing and narrative. It's all about my own discomfort. Not entirely sure why this is the case. Trying to pick it back up again and confront the discomfort.
