This book is so long!

This book is so long.... truly an epic-length story exploring themes about the difference between women and men, relationships, and what society expects from them.

It's a collection of short stories, but they're not short stories; they're vignettes on a theme. The first 2 are good -- can't wait to read them all.

Oops! Discovered that there are 7 more parts to Anna Karenina. It's a good thing, because I was thinking that the story ending in this place is unremarkable.

If you are standing, please sit down. By now, my psycho-historical calculations indicate there is an 81.25% chance you are still reading this novel. Well done.

And this I believe: that the free, exploring mind of the individual human is the most valuable thing in the world. And this I would fight for: the freedom of the mind to take any direction it wishes, undirected. And this I must fight against: any idea, religion, or government which limits or destroys the individual.

I'm increasingly loving this author. His imaginative range is broad, even if every individual short story isn't totally polished.
