I'm only halfway through this book and have already bought a copy for my artist sister. The greatest message this book has so far is to break out of your analysis paralysis and just start. Get your first sale. Then figure out how to get more sales. Don't grow out of control. Enjoy life and work.

Last night I dreamed I was finally done with this book. Not much longer to go!

The segments with Oskar are the best. His grandparents are just depressing. I skim those chapters hoping to meet up with the neurotic kid dressed all in white who goes on adventures through NYC.

So far I love this story. Its pacing is decent, but I'd heard that it was really weird and/or had a lot of sex. Must be in the remaining 60% of the book.

Wow, this is a depressing book. The first 1/3 of it was reminiscing about how the author's kid was as a child before addiction. The middle is convincing you that addiction is a disease, and addicts aren't themselves. Now, he's giving me a silver lining, making me think his son is recovering. I anticipate another huge crash and betrayal... what a roller coaster!
