Forcing myself to get off of Facebook so I can try to focus on something other than the election. This book continues to be fun.

Call me crazy, but I'm sort of digging this one? Sort of a lot?

I mean... How could I not read this? I have very little expectation for it beyond it being very entertaining. Hopefully my existential questions about Sid the animate talking skeleton will be answered in satisfactory ways.

Tiffany Reisz is doing the impossible: getting me to read category romances unironically.

There are personal reasons why I deeply enjoyed the less-than-idyllic description of a certain city toward the end of this book. So. Satisfying.

I would be lying if I said that I haven't been excited about this book all month and downloaded it as soon as my paycheck hit the bank today. I started it at lunch and so far it's delightful. I love a heroine in distress, witty banter, and unconventional heroes, and this one has all three in addition to a gorgeous Oregon setting. It makes me want to fly up to the PNW right now!

This has felt so slow. I'm mostly continuing just to see if I guessed the identity of the father.

I've had a little trouble getting into this because I've been busy, but now it's starting to get good. Way grittier than any cozy I've read: abortionists, corruption, prostitution, oh my!

I detest Malloy so far. I know that he probably ends up as a romantic interest, and believe you me, there is much material here for a great transformation of his character. I just hope Sarah puts him through the wringer and makes him eat his words first.

This book makes me so sad that Edward Gorey is dead, which isn't news or anything, but still. He comes across so alive and timeless on the page.

This is a favorite that I'm rereading because the staff book club let me pick the book for this month. Finally, my dream of making people read this book has come true!
