The arrogance of the first chapter is rather off-putting.

I want to take some of these stories out and put them in a "serious" anthology. 'Jack Kerouac, My Lover' for instance has sexual elements, but I feel it's about more than sex. There's something interesting thoughts about his writing. It's a bit awkward that I was quoting out of the story to my mum while discussing antiheroes, wondering where I had read it and then suddenly realising 'oh, that's a bit embarrassing.'

I have one major pet peeve when it comes to how fiction is told: I absolutely *detest* POV-changes from first to third person.
