Ahhhh! I am to a point now where I am groaning out loud every time the stupid kid says "Hannah the same backwards as forward"
It is not cute. It is not endearing. It is so annoying and I feel like I am wasting my one second of life having to hear that yet again. It was okay a couple of times to give meaning to the title of the book. But I am so done hearing him say that, and I am to a point I might quit reading

Absolutely! Love the reading group instead of book group idea. What a fun thing. I don't think it would work for me cuz I don't think I can shut up that long. And I giggle out loud when I'm reading or make other book noises 🙂 but for most people it would probably be great. Especially if you are at all leaning towards introversion

A victim at Valentine's? A victim for Valentine's? I'm not sure what it was supposed to be. The cover says at Valentine's, but the narrator of the audio as well as each of the title show a victim for Valentine's. So something is weird there with the title

There are religious vibes throughout, but definitely not preachy or heavily overtoned. More like young people that are attending a religious school would be.
The pop culture references are a little irritating. There are just so many of them with no references to what they are. Like Chandler and Marie? And maybe I didn't even get that name right. But I don't know who they're even talking about or what they're meaning.

The the biggest problem I have with this book is definitely the reader. I think she would do great with non-fiction. It's just her characters are so close to each other that it's really hard to keep straight always who is talking. If it's in conversation there's typically character cues so you can keep up with who it is that is communicating. But when we jump chapters and you forget whether you're in the guys point

This is number two apparently in a series. I started reading it without knowing that, but there has been nothing thus far to require me to have read the first one that this story is relying on heavily. There is a couple of side characters that are very vulgar in their language. There's a pretty heavy feminist vibe to this book. I don't know if that's standard cuz this is the first one I have read. All female cast

Where there is some frustrating stuff in this. But probably the thing that tops all of them has got to be the fact that the doctor thinks somebody is trying to commit t suicide and says that he's going to send her home because Nan doesn't need a bad influence or something to that sort. Just imagine if she was a depressed teenager and actually contemplating or attempting suicide and you tell her she is a bad influence

Give me a break! Claire, you're an idiot. You can't think for yourself. You are the epitome of the princess that needs saving. And you have such high strength? That makes no sense. Your brother looks like he does. The world looks like it does. So you just go ahead and hand over your link to the land? Peter? Same thing? You know no good can come from it. Why would you do it? Man? This is frustrating. There's no reason

Oh boy, I just grow more and more frustrated. Because I liked the first one. I'm not going to give up on this one as frustrating as it is to have to tolerate. Claire, the idiot. Really? If everybody's lying to you, then why believe the people who are doing evil bad things that have turned to the whole place black and of lied to you multiple times previously? Or the one whose selfish so his lies are truth omissions

Grrrr!
I am so freaking tired of this. Self-pitying Claire who is effectively useless. And seriously! You can't figure out that he uses Vines to hold you down? After 52 times you would think you'd catch on that you can be higher. You're so afraid you might scorch your friends, but you allow this evil woman to grab your face where you could have given her a nice big black bear hug. But instead you don't do anything bu

Only one thing to this point that made me shake my head and say "Wha?". It was in the class after she cuts herself. Instructor says "What were the two vital pieces of information I gave in instruction? Anyone?"
Therefore anyone may answer and give that information. So one of the guys does exactly that. She then pisses about "Mansplaining" exists in every culture.
Well, that shows Misandry. Plain and simple.

And once again we have an author who likes to write a teenage book and then romanticize teenage sex and underage drinking! Then we try and solve these problems later but our authors are showing children that this is okay to act this way

It really pisses me off when authors romanticize underage drinking in books targeted towards underage readers! The country fights so hard to protect youth from making bad decisions in their youth to have authors showing how it's okay and how much fun you can have really is disappointing. And there are many who will never have a reaction of any kind or any other issues. But sadly others their lives are ruined

I am so glad that the author threw in the bullies right at the beginning of the book so we could see Adrian's sword fighting. Since pretty much the rest of the book it's talked about, but we never get to see it, but as a reader we already know that he's good and let's us see his other characteristics. Well done!

Shaw is in the hospital so Archer says he will sleep there because he's a light sleeper. Yet we pointed out twice before this where somebody has left and he didn't wake up, but alone one of those made coffee and breakfast and a lunch!if only I could be that kind of light sleeper :-)

You were taken by the age of 10, yet six years later after a torturous time you know in a Walmart where the greeter stood? No, I don't believe that's the case. That is entirely unrealistic. What 10 year old even knows the word greeter, let alone is observant enough going into a store to recognize that somebody stands there when you go and even care.

One of the things that is really bothering me right now is the fact that this girl doesn't have anything more than a fifth grade education, but she really knows a lot! It wasn't like she's had it easy since she left home. I think her mind would have dumped a lot of the information that she had received. But seriously, you can name songs on the radio and who the artist is that you haven't heard since you were 10yr old

Frustrating! This is one of those books that has a very good story idea, but the plot sucks. It is extremely unrealistic. Maybe if the story was set in early 20th century or before that then possibly it would make sense. But the first part of the book you don't know what actually did happen and you're working up to this big moment where the the reveal comes in and you know that they've killed somebody or something.
