Can’t stop now!

Blame it on immaturity, but sometimes this book grosses me out. Like I want to plug my ears and scrunch my nose and say, “Okay enough, stop now!”

“...it sometimes seems to me the entire postmodern assault on the concept of truth has been staged to avoid just this conclusion: some cultures are simply more productive than others...” Totally agree.

“For others, I know it was Christ who led them to joy. For me, it was joy that led me to Christ.” So many great lines in this book. Really enjoying Klavan’s writing.

Really enjoying this. I hear Klavan’s voice in my head narrating every line.

I gave up. 80 pages in and I was bored out of my skull. I really wanted to like this one.

Tears just now for my dear, sweet broken Eleanor...

"Some people, weak people, fear solitude. What they fail to understand is that there's something very liberating about it; once you realize that you don't need anyone, you can take care of yourself. I do believe Eleanor's got some issues...

I'm giving up. I might've enjoyed this more 10 years ago. Not feeling it.

Not really rocking my world (pun totally intended), but good fun nonetheless.

If my job did not entail so much reading and staring at a computer screen, I would be flying though this book. The action & pacing are great. Plus it has me googling scientific terminology---kudos for being entertaining and informative.

Hell of an opening chapter!

Keeping me hooked. A good choice for my first book of the year. I hope the ending does it justice.
