Story #18: The Man Who Loved Flowers There no beating around the bush with this story. It strikes quickly, and hard! This one probably petrified me as a kid...

Story #17: The Last Rung on the Ladder ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ So that's what it feels like to have your heartbroken in under 30-pages 😢

Story #16: Children of the Corn ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This could explain my almost life-long fear of cornfields and men named Malachi.

Story #15: I Know What You Need ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
I loved this. So eerie, so creepy and it completely immersed me in Elizabeth's story. Also has an early touch of 'Good For Her' Horror, which I love!

Story #14: Quitter's Inc. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ahh, this was so good. I could picture being in this guy's shoes, how terrifying that would be, to live in fear like that. He def handed over the power in his life to a new entity. And that ending!? That was so fun 😁

I'm so happy to be back with Annie! And also that Perrin has found a clever way to still incorporate Aunt Frances and Peony Lane. I am going to fly through this!!

I love that we've traveled out of NYC in this one. Clearly, NYC is Eddie's comfort zone, he has a lot of powerful connections there, so this is completely out of his element. Also, this is a case that is infuriating. There's so much corruption in this town. It's hard to see how Eddie and his team are going to overcome all that.

This is quite interesting, though definitely not uplifting. I think the writing and imagery created are very well done as a way to explore being trapped in one's depressed mind. I am interested to see what the MC of the story is going to ultimately conclude. Is there hope for him or not?

Wow, is this perdition? Is that what were dealing with here? But how did these two find each other? How are they able to experience this and explore together? Are their fates connected somehow?

I guess I'm low-key obsessed with this series now. This is my 3rd installment that I've read in the past couple months and I'm so excited for this one, because Eddie and Harry are leaving NYC and heading to Alabama!!

Sort of in the mood for something moody and philosophical. This should do the trick -- and it's a novella, so not too overwhelming.

Cassidy's writing incorporates a lot more dark humor than I expected.

I love how most Author Girlies are out here writing sex scenes like, 'I need to make the audience swoon, blush, kick their feet, and eat up my sex scenes, and the Bartz Sisters are over here like, how can I make these sex scenes as uncomfortable as possible for my Readers.

Hahahaha -- they aren't afraid to touch upon the difficult topics surrounding sex that many one tackle with someone else's body...

We did get a long Kate background chapter. I definitely feel like I understand her more now, but that sort of sucked some of the wind out of the sails of the case Eddie is working. Happy to be back into that aspect now.
