Here goes! As this is a library book I've got nothing to lose but precious time.

This book is charming! There are so many grat lines. Was there ever a more endearing character than Holly Golightly? I wonder if I'd like this book as much without Audrey and the movie? 50 years BTW!

I just saw this book on a list that discourages me. Especially since that list had two other books that I feel belonged on that list. But I'm happy with this book so far. :)

I am now fond of this book. I'm happy I've kept with it. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends :)

Thus far, chapter 37 is my favourite. I'm only half way done? It's been over a month. The characters keep me going. I have to know how they are fairing. The writing can be wordy. But the story is interesting. This is no War and Peace.

I'm still at it!

Is it just me? Or is it this book? I think I have reader's block.

I've begun likening Vanity Fair to the Real Housewives reality TV series. I live how the narrator speaks to the reader. I think the appeal of this book is the gossip, struggle, drama and folly of the privalledged.

I feel toward proper nouns the way some do toward algebra. I have little trouble with solving for X. But a passage such as "He was said to be paying his addresses to Lady Jane Sheepshanks, Lord Southdown's third daughter, and whose sister, Lady Emily, wrote those sweet tracts, "The Sailor's True Binnacle," and "The Applewoman of Finchley Common." is intimidating and at times confusing for me.

Thus far a consistent read.

OK she's lost her luggage *with* the cell phone that is her only connection with the outside world. She's going into a dangerous situation and of course she lost the cell phone. If Marina gets malaria I'm done with this book.

Oh we've gotten to the good parts. I still find the language confusing. But now I'm engaged, familiar with characters and hoping for the best outcome.

I love this book. Every page is wonderful. This will be a cherished book in our home for years.

Wow! I know people don't like Darcy. I'm surprised they can be so vocal about it in society. Early predictions? I'm thinking Colins and Miss Lucas. And Wickham is a rat. I sense impending doom. Though I don't want the girls to be penniless and fatherless.

Lindsay Nichols you sure can pick em'! I see this book didn't do much for you. But for myself this is a book for which no bookmark is required.

How beautiful! So the frog in the bath huh? Any reference to the snake in the garden here?

Why do authors of Fiction use names like Dr. S for a character? I understand why it would be done in non fiction. What am I missing here?
