This is the first time I have tried this author. This is part of a series, and, unfortunately, I haven't read the books preceding this, but it's easy to get into the flow of the story. I am reading the American English translation from Vintage Crime of Black Lizard Press, and so far, I think it is good.

Each chapter in this book is an anecdote that contrasts the personalities of the founding brothers of the American Revolution. It's very enlightening and a little humorous, but it does not hide the flaws of these people. Friendship versus politics is a hard collision.

Initially, I was hypnotized by the prose and style of Bronte, plus the British flavor got its hooks in me, but all of it started getting a bit dreary as I pressed on. I have no idea why I labored to finish this.

I liked this book, so I'm gonna give it three stars, but I was expecting something different.

The problem with heros and saints is that they always end up dead.

A household estate called "Thornfield" sounds like a metaphor for a house of pain.

Gholam-Hossein Sa'edi and Jim Morrison are neighbors in Père Lachaise, and I imagine they're very good friends.

This is a good e-book! It's first in the series, and it is a recent release on Amazon Kindle. I have a strong feeling this will be a popular series, and the author, Russell Blake, has written other successful action thriller series before.
