Ok it redeemed itself! I really enjoyed it. There’s a reason its stuck with me for 35 years. I can see hints of True Blood and other vampiric tales.

Adorable.

The introductory rapes were hard to get past, and reoccurred too frequently in an almost blithe, casual way. But the blend of fairytale and myth was compelling, and ultimately it’s a very well done story.

Loved this!

Yet another good one in a long, long series.

Interesting as always Asimov is. He explores space and the future with a good eye towards moral philosophy and the failings of human emotions.
