Ok. So the boy I was reading this with broke up with me. I kinda want to see where the book goes, I kinda don’t. We’ll see in another month or so how I feel. Could go either way.

Okay. I’m reading this because:

1) I want to watch the show (much like I read ASOIAF first…and have kinda neglected the watching GoT part) and would like to have a clue what’s going on. I did try it out for 4 episodes and I love the world building. Need. To. Read. First.
2) despite 2 exes who like this series it still intrigues me.
3) I like big books.

Also. I love the re-imagining of WWI

Enjoying this one just as much as Leviathan.

Gregorovitch is still my favorite character.

The jury is still out. Somehow Paolini switches between exposition and action and doesn’t leave the reader satisfied either way. Lots of randomness and weird character interactions. Let’s see how act 3 goes.

Got it for .50 at the library. We’ll see how this goes. Based on reviews it might go on my DNF list which has not been added for 5 years (I’m getting pretty good at picking our books I like).

Ok. So I did put it down for 2 games of FIFA. Now I’m back.

Still on a quest to diversify my bookshelf. I’m loving this one so far!
