Jag vet att boken är gammal, men att huvudkaraktären tänker såhär är hemskt.

"Det är inte säkert, att den okända kvinnan är värd att man dödar en man för hennes skull. Det är inte heller säkert, att den okände mannen, som möter en ung kvinna i djupa skogen och plötsligt blir besatt och överväldigad av Pan, därför är värd att dödas. Det är slutligen inte säkert att någon sådan fara är för handen som gör ett ingripande nödvändigt!"

I quite like the first sentence of this book.

Doktorns tankar om sig själv.

"Han må vara räv eller får - tänkte jag - också en räv är dock alltid mycket dummare än en människa"

Vet inte om jag tycker om det här citatet, men antecknar i vilket fall.

"Just a story. It had become one of the defining truths of my life that, no matter how I tried to keep them flattened, two-dimensional, jailed in paper and ink, there would always be stories that refused to stay bound inside books. It was never just a story. I would know: a story had swallowed my whole life."

In most YA fantasy there are no adults present to help the children, or all adults are evil/doesn't understand what's going on. But now there are adults present, who do understand what's going on. It just doesn't make sense that they won't go with them (if not...).

The chapters are quite long in this. At the moment, I've read only four of them.

Oh, so that's why the book is called "Library of Souls".

Look a slur (g*psy). This one appeared often in Hollow City, but this is the first time in this book. Can't the author just use words that aren't offensive? In this case it's immensely easy to just use the word 'Romani'.

So.. I don't know about this. The protagonist can't see why this maybe isn't okay? I guess you could think of it as a parallel to prostitution, which some think should be legal and others don't?
I get the feeling that it's more of a long time thing, but seeing as english isn't my first language I might have just misunderstood.

I like Addison, but I'm not sure if it's because I like his personality or just because he's a talking dog.
