I just have to give a big "AWW" for Lyall and Biffy. I love Gail's characters!

Lord and Lady Maccon are one of the cutest couples in fantasy fiction. The combination of adoration and exasperation that they inspire in each other feels very true to life and more heartwarming than any teen romance. These are grown-ups trying to fit together their mature personalities into a life that seems to bring them no end of complications, but they always come back to their love for each other.

Loving this book so far. 1st-person present tense narrative takes some getting used to, but it works. Katniss is an engaging protagonist: complex enough to be interesting and hard enough to be believable in this harsh, post-apocalyptic world.

This is the first e-book I've read where they included the page numbers as well as the location numbers -- it makes it a lot easier to keep track of how far I've gotten, and share thoughts on the book with other readers.
