the plot moves much faster than I remember but yay Sturmhond!

someone just snapped at me for reading (yes I know I'm at work but it's a library ffs) and my first thought is like "the Darkling wouldn't stand for this" and I've never been more happy yet more sorry I'm not magical bc idk if I'd be a hero or a villain the way some people test me haha

I can already tell from the first few pages that this is when Bardugo took the time to better her writing skills and start flexing

tbh I kinda hope the show does a slightly better reveal of the antagonist than the book did bc it's still rather . . . sudden in a lame way

well I forgot how intense that was and, yes, this is a very visually-written book so far let's hope this sense of good holds better than I remember it holding in the previous re-reads
