Memory and dreams. One needs to read aristotle with pen in hand. He considered everything...

Already unimpressed. Reasons for the war starts with 1. Territorial Expqnison. 2. Slavery...and goes on to list 8 more. But really, put them all together and the civil war was about slavery. 'The Mighty Scourge' by James McPherson settled that one for me. Any book trying to dissemble that one starts in a deep hole with me..and this one does.

Truly hell. I'm not sure what anyone would do after being any part of this...

Done with physics for now. On the one hand about as interesting as reading a physics textbook. On the other aristotlian physics covers EVERYTHING. He took it much further than the folks who wrote my physics books.

Physics book 4: change. Aristotle is unique, he wrote about Everything all at once. Change is motion, alteration, increase/decrease, etc...

End of the organon. Very subtle discussion abou: scientific reasoning, dialectical reasoning, contentious reasoning, and bsing :)

All about the middle term. Confess I skimmed this last bit.

It is all about the middle term? Aristotle amazes. Constantly amazes. Difficult to read. Plato reads much more easily, Aristotle covered so much and so well.

The baby self vs the mature self. The baby self is irrational and controlling. The mature self responsible. Author presents two selves. we start as baby self and then can at least make it through day once we reach maturity. This book is about dealing with our babies and helping them mature. Three basic strategies are presented: no-telling them no, stop-getting them to stop do-getting them to do what they don't want.

Wow. The organon is rough going. I'm reading other more descriptive works to compensate.
