Now I regret not paying more attention to Pissarro in Art History.

Did not care much for the last story. These are not hopeful or promising takes, but people making seemingly simple choices that later will destroy any hope of happiness in life.

These are good bedtime stories.

One story, so far, is not tragic-sad.

Stunning, if troubling, stories. Humor, excellent writing, insightful, grim.

I am further along but don't have the book with me to note the page#.

Not even ten percent through this collection and already see how the narrator runs them one to the next...

excellent, ominous, and more sexual than anything else i have read from this author (no actual sex but a rape attempt and another near thing)

Loving this. No spoiler since this is on the back cover—Moon's aliens are astonishing in their difference!

I worry when I find two typos in the first three lines of the Acknowledgements. Moon has been around too long to get Le Guin's name wrong. I mean, really?

An aging woman in a failed off-world colony decides not to leave with everyone else. The son she never liked much leaves with his wife (whom she likes even less), but her other children have died.

Grime so far. Hugo finalist, and I'm still looking for light?

I only paid a dollar for this novel—used from a bookstore going out of business—so far I'm not sure it was worth more than that. The anti-feminism is pretty intense and since I have been a feminist from my teens. It's not entirely fantasy, but it's a bit over the top.

Better than most every fantasy I have read—more imaginative, funny, clever.

Loved it all over again!

I am smiling almost continuously while reading.
