A subtly gripping story so far. About a quarter of the way in, the use of identical twins and an unique androgynous female vocalist with a voice box is convincingly drawn in the same way that Manchee, the talking dog in Patrick Ness’ The Knife of Never Letting Go is drawn. I’m in on this and I now need to find out about Pynchon. The lyricism of Suede is strong with this one down to the chapter titles alone.
