I read the first two Shades of Magic years ago and made the (probably not very clever) decision to read this one without even a glance at a synopsis, hoping I would remember enough to understand what is going on.
I feel like I step in a room full of old friends, memories lingering everywhere your eyes go. It's like coming home after a very long day.
