Oh my goodness CHAPTER 25! That was hilarious XD

Also, I love that as the magical dog grows, the chapters from her perspective become increasingly sophisticated poetic verse.

Oooh, magically growing puppy! (Not that puppies don't grow like magic irl, but they don't usually double in size right in front of you.)

I think finding a puppy on the Trial island is better than a medallion, personally. The rest of the villagers are just jealous they didn't get a puppy too.

This is actually pretty fun

Aaaah such a good ending! I almost don't want to wait until next Christmas to read the next book, but these are so delightful to read when in the Christmas spirit and I'd he sad not to have one to read then, so I will wait with great anticipation.

I can't believe I'm not quite halfway through this. So much is happening, it's hard to imagine more excitement! :)

In more positive news :P I'm enjoying the little Nutcracker references in this one and I'm curious to see how they come together in the end.

Gaaaah I love this so much. <3 It's been a year since I read book one, but the characters and even the writing style just feel like they're saying "oh, hi, welcome back! Here's your mug of peppermint hot cocoa and a snuggly blanket. Settle in and let us tell you a story. :)"

Yaaaaay, now I can get focused on my Christmas reading!

Thought it was about time I actually read this instead of just watching the adaptations. :)
