This book is pretty horrifying

Don’t mind me I’m just reading at a rate of just under 100 pages an hour

“The Perfect Match”—5 stars. This is one of the most compelling SFF short stories I’ve ever read, about the ways in which corporations surveil us in the modern world.

This book is freaky

Finished the first Claudius book! Now for the second. And then, onto Nero!

This book is too epic in scope, and that makes it less fun than book 1

FINALLY finished Tiberius's section

On book 4 so far, gonna keep chugging along

Yeah, still kind of boring. I'm feeling solid 3 star at this point (the worldbuilding is cool, and I still get the Mistborn magic, but the characters are just fine and the plot is bad).

Finished Book 2 of The Annals! 9 more to go :(

I'm really enjoying this! (I mean, you're not supposed to enjoy this book, but it's really compelling—you know what I mean)

Roughly 2 hours per 50 pages adds up to about 16 hours of reading.

Good book

Okay, this book is getting a lot more interesting now, and this might be the first time I’m equally engaged in pretty much all the viewpoints.

And I’m back to not being super grabbed by this. The characters, worldbuilding, magic, and prose are all great! But there isn’t really a plot and some of the characters have no direction really and I just want to know what the actual story is lol. I don’t need a super thick plot just the barest inkling of one!

State Change: 2 stars. It’s always sus when male authors write about women exploring their sexuality and this story proves why. It’s SO male gaze-y in extremely subtle ways.
