I got this as an audio book in a sale and it got my attention because it is read by the author. Now that I have become accustomed to his New England accent it's starting to be quite interesting.

Just started this today. Found one glaring error in that Burroughs describes a T-Rex as having been extinct for 6 million years. In actual fact they have been extinct for about 65 million years. Probably when this book was written in 1918 carbon dating was not perfected so they did not know the exact time periods.

Seen the b&w movie as a kid and always wanted to read this.

Really liking this so far. Take Blade Runner and replace Decker with Micky Spillane's Mike Hammer and this gives you some idea of this book.

I was just going to read the introduction to see how many years separated this book from the first in the series. Ended up getting sucked into the story and waster half the afternoon :)

I was not going to read books 2 and 3 of these because I refuse to buy them in hardback. However, someone gave them to me for free so I revised my opinion.

Discovered that this is actually book 3 in a series so I am going to put this one on hold until I can find the other two.
