Enjoyed Narrow Room by Rosalind Brown. I see this story is taken from her novel The Practice. My two qualms with the story were its aimlessness, which the novel might correct and its feeling of tedium, which a novel would likely worsen.

I can't deny that Asimov's smug intros to each story I find grating. Belief so far is the only story that deserves collecting. The last three I read are all legit skips: Foy, Fair Exchange (was okay), and Birds.

Nottage Interview: inane, could not finish.

Supportive Husband - a good if overly glib story about yet another toxic male.

jane austen chapter - very erratic structure. Kind of all over the place.

death of the hind - terrible; four last things - sigh, boring nonsense

Christmas, Mirages, and Hind all solid stories. 3.5, 4, and 3
