Should have begun with chapters 5-6 and Maurice’s letters about Maralyn

So far the book is grounded in a conversion from “evangelicalism” to Roman faith, and is thoroughly grounded in Roman reading of sin, grace, concupiscence etc. (JP II)
Has initially seemed to dismiss any constructivist insight - will be interesting to see if the book proceeds with a purely bio-essentialist understanding of gender or an alternative framing
