Considered the first volume of a horror classic. There are some minor scares here, but the stories are well written. Also a fair dash of humor/camp. Particularly enjoyed “The Book of Blood” since hauntings/seances are fave subjects. “The Midnight Meat Train” and “Pig Blood Blues” were probably the scariest. 3.5/5
