It's like a new book. Love it.

I couldn't resist starting this up even though I haven't finished my other audiobook. I read the first two sample chapters and I was hooked.

Starting over with the revised version!

So this is what I don't get. Grace is on trial for murder (not a spoiler). Right now, the story is about how the boat peeps viewed the boat ringleader Hardie as savior initially but not anymore. Grace is talking how the views changed. I thought initially, Hardie and Grace on trial for throwing people overboard but now, I think mob mentality took over. I wonder if Hardie ended up swimming w/ sharks? We don't know yet.

I hope that the 17 year old neighbor that practices his drums ALL THE TIME really makes it big. I need to know this ear torture was worth it!

What an odd book. It's interesting enough to continue but Grace is not the most appealing narrator.

Still have major, major issues with book but the last 5% has calmed me down a bit.

"We were quiet for a moment. I knew what I wanted to say, but it was bound to come out all wrong. Or hopelessly corny. Eventually, I gave up thinking about it. 'If we're all going to die anyway, I want to die with you. And if we live, I want to live with you." .....ahhh that was sweet!

"She started stripping my clothing, muttering all the while 'Stupid, pigheaded, obstinate, obnoxious, oviparous, egg-sucking boy.' I both laid and sucked eggs? That didn't make sense. Whatever".... LOL

I'm supposed to be catching up on my work, well, that sooooo did not work.

OMG, he called his child (stillborn) an "it" and a "monster", yet he is screwing a 16 year old student of his. Someone needs a reality check.

I know, I'm supposed to wait until September to read but I loved book 1 and well, I don't want to wait. I'll hold my review until then but I'm enjoying it now.

Mitch Anderson... takes advantage of a 16 year old girl who is clearly damaged. I don't care how nice, or well meaning he is/was, the guy is disgusting.

If Heaven is like that, I'll skip! Great book. For you cover peeps, yes I know it is not the most attractive cover, but the book is very, very good-Harry Dresden-ish but I think even better than Dresden's book 1!

I'm absolutely convinced I'm reading a different book than everyone else. I'm forcing myself to finish since there has to be something I'm missing.

Did I miss what Miles looks like? I only remember curly hair? Regardless, this is turning out to be a great book. Loving it.

Jenna is a runner, Mr. Anderson is a runner, Jenna has a report on a marine biologist, Mr. Anderson happened to begin school wanting to study marine biology (even was attacked by sharks), Jenna is a cutter, Mr. Anderson's wife is/was a cutter, Jenna almost raped, who's there to save her...any guess?

Miles Franco.. great character. 100% male even when facing death! Love the setting, really dark, made me think I could feel how depressed the city really is.

Bob, Bobby, Bobby-o. Did this not bother anyone else?

Great Narrator for this audiobook. She is the reason I continue since the book is driving me batty!

I have no clue what made me agree to read this one, weird cover, weird book summary, but I'm really loving this!

What.The.Hell please get to an actual story line. pretty please!

I'm glad family is getting a clue.. he loves her, she loves him, no one is forced to be with one another.

It's frustrating to me how much convincing the brothers need!

oh and talk about foreshadowing... let's set this up... mom & jenna initially saw bro off before he went off to war, now... mom has drinking problem and jenna has to hide when she emails her bro from a ghost server because her parents (not just dad but mom too) would freak if they found out she was still emailing bro. She emails him everyday but no indication of emails back. let me guess why??? hmmmm..

I'm waiting and waiting for something to happen. So far, we've managed to crack all the issues.... drinking, cutting, isolated girl vs. popular girl, the-might-be-too-nice teacher, the cheating dad, physical scars from fire, and so on and so on. However, we have no story, yet. I'm waiting.

I initially did not like this book. So much so, I almost stopped. But I've really warmed up to the story and the characters.
