I feel like if this book were to have a soundtrack, Queen's Princes of the Universe would be on it.

Pierce Brown is NOT a good author. The fact that I skipped from page 34 to 78 and I feel as if I have missed nothing (because everything is explained by Darrow at every possible moment) shows that Pierce still doesn't know how to show instead of tell. I honestly don't care about this book and I'm about to DNF it.

This book fucking sucks. Pierce is trying to hard to make characters unlikable and all he's really doing is making Darrow pathetic. And not in a "work hard and you'll be better" but in a "if you were to die tomorrow no one would care because it would mean everyone else you've gathered can finish the mission better than you" kind of way. Darrow really is one of the most pathetic characters I've ever read.

I love John and his life.

I'm enjoying the narrator and it's helping to pass the time cleaning, but, I'm going to have to actually sit down and read this. A lot isn't really sticking and it's going in one ear and out the other. There's too many names and such for me to follow 100% what is going on but I'm still getting enough to continue.

Listening to this on audio while cleaning. I had to stop listening to Simon R. Green since I'm listening to it with my mom, so giving this a shot. I've heard its great and I've heard its awful. We'll see.

OMFG. I LOVE SHOTGUN SUZY AND SHE HASNT EVEN DONE ANYTHING IN THIS BOOK YET. No, seriously, Suzy is probably my favourite character in this series and she's not even the lead. YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!

Starting this tonight!!!!! It's been a horrible month for reading for me and it's probably going to get worse with Camp NaNoWriMo starting soon.

Picking this up in a few days. I'm looking forward to it.

For a book with an awful lot of words, it really doesn't say much at all.

I think it's the butler, in the library, with the candlestick.

Also, Butcher and Green need to get together and write some short stories putting Dresden and Taylor together because I can just imagine Dresden in Nightside and Taylor in Chicago and the two of them hanging out together on Dresden's couch, eating pizza with the faries and just not giving a care in the world that everything is blowing up around them.

This immortal family needs to take a lesson from Duncan on how to be a proper immortal.

So far it's interesting.

Another book to add to the "I don't care anymore" list. I don't care about Annie or Alice or their parents. I don't care that Annie is in a coma. I just don't care. This whole story is convoluted it's ridiculous.

It's definitely picked up and I'm hoping to get it finished tomorrow. As long as the story continues to build, I can say that I'm looking forward to Mary's continuing career.

Hope this starts picking up soon.

Taking a break from Butcher and Green and sitting down with this. I need a one-off right now with the amount of series I'm currently working on. I hope this doesn't suck, I've been looking forward to it.
