I think we have a strong disagreement here, at least in India the income Level 3 is decent enough to be able to buy and read this book. What I mean is using the same currency for all over the world, even though a range of value probably isn't a convincing way to categorize. I believe that if we do it by considering the average living expenses in particuar countries, it would make more sense than it does now.

Regarding my previous comment regarding question 2, I was wrong. The premise was understanding the gap instinct and not measuring prosperity, so my skepticism was baseless.

It's natural to approach this book with apprehension since it questions the opinions we have held for so long.

Regarding Fact Question 2 :- Measuring prosperity or forming an opinion on it based on average income, according to me, is misleading. I don't find the question relevant in this context since in middle income countries like India where 22% population lives under the poverty line at less than $.25 per day, the escalation in the income is due to few rich people which doesn't feed poor.
